Marble Maintenance and Care
Sealer Application
Any marble slabs and most natural stones should be sealed with an impregnating sealer every 1–2 years to protect against stains. A good sealer fully protects the marble surface from oil and food stains. However, unlike Marble Armor, sealers do not protect against etching.
Cleaners and Detergents
Use pH-neutral and non-abrasive cleaners for marble surfaces. All hand soaps, dish soaps, surface cleaners, and dishwasher detergents used on marble should be plant-based. Avoid acidic cleaners containing citric acid as they can etch the surface.
Cutting Board, Trivet, and Coaster Use
Using cutting boards, trivets, and coasters minimizes the risk of spills and scratches. Wipe away any acidic spills immediately to prevent damage.
Microfiber Cloth Use
Clean, rinse, and dry marble surfaces with microfiber cloths. Non-abrasive cloths and cleaners help avoid scratches over time.
